Temperature is slowly but steadily rising on Jaipur market so activity is decreasing.
A large amount of gemstones over produced in the previous colder months, mainly from big arrivals of african rough, is now stockpiled.
Hot weather reduces the amount of buyers traveling and the local tourist season is now finished.
Another factor for the availability of goods is the urgent need for fresh cash to invest mainly in real estate projects.
From these factors results the presence of goods in the market at discounted prices.
Real bargains we saw were on cabochon emeralds of light color and some very big lots of small millimeter size orange red Mozambique garnets. Very nice offers also on peridot and blue apatite necklaces. Among other noticeable bargains were Burma sapphire necklaces in tumble shape, this shape on this material beeing quite rare in Jaipur.
