Prices for pink sapphires are slightly dropping

Prices for pink sapphires are slightly dropping. After a few years of increase, stones below 3 carats show a slight decrease in price. Still bigger stones are not affected. Medium quality stones in the 1 to 2 carats range show the biggest drop. Brokers said that a new find in the Ilakaka area in Madagascar is responsible for this.
