Beryllium treatment will affect all trade
Sapphires are sill posing a problem to the market. Due to the lack of information about the new treatment (Phao mai) and the expensive price for a serious laboratory check, buyers stay away of blue saphhires. New beryllium treatment was done previously principally on big stones, but now treated stones, even in the 2 carats range, are on offer.
We are just seeing the beginning of turnmoil. Even if we all regret it, except somme genius cooks, this sure will have deep effects on all gem trade.
